Welcome to My Wishing Well page!

My name is Sofie and I'm 15 years old. I live in Vancouver, Canada, but every year since I was little, I have been blessed to travel with my family to countries all around Southern and East Africa. Those trips and the kind and soulful people we have met, have inspired my art and my dedication to education and water issues, and have influenced me in a million other ways. I feel lucky that the Wishing Well project brings all these things together.

Nearly 1.1 billion people lack access to clean water and education around the world. By raising money for wells and spreading awareness about this crisis together, we can help bring water to people who need it and maybe make it easier for kids, who would otherwise have to spend time and energy carrying water, to go to school. My Wishing Well fundraising targets of $US 8000, $US 16,000, and $24,000 were recently met, and have funded 3 wells to supply clean water to three rural villages, for decades to come! Last summer I had the great privilege of visiting Malawi, to witness the miracle of these wells going in for myself! This effort continues to bring me immense joy and energizes me to never stop. Well #4, here we come!
